Agroindustry is one of the forums for increasing the added value of agricultural products which has a significant impact on employment, increasing economic growth on the micro, small and medium scale through upstream to downstream integration and marketing of agricultural products in Indonesia. One of the strategies for improving performance and developing agro-industry is through strengthening competence in human resources in the academic process. Agricultural Industrial Technology Education is the foundation for strengthening agro-industry technology, systems and management related to the integral (integrated) system of the agricultural product industry consisting of humans, raw materials, machinery and equipment, methods, capital, and information. The scientific basis of agricultural industry technology is multidisciplinary in 3 scientific pillars, namely Technology, Management, and Systems Engineering including mastery of Mathematics and Science (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology), Design Engineering (Engineering Science and Technology, Information and Communication Technology, Technical Design and Problem-based Experiments) and General Education and Management. Through the spirit of Smart and Sustainable Agroindustry, it is hoped that the development of agro-industry is always innovative, creative and environmentally friendly in a sustainable manner.
